Alcohol misuse is a treatable medical condition. Alcohol support Groups were started in 1935 and remain the gold standard for alcohol treatment. If we used other medical treatment from 1935, we would still use the "iron lung."

How It Works

Take your first step.

Step 1

Fill out a free self assessment

Answers to your assessment will be reviewed by your healthcare provider so they can better understand what you are experiencing.

Step 2

Book an appointment online

If an alcohol misuse diagnosis seems likely, we’ll help you book an appointment with our licensed health practitioner.

Step 3

Start your treatment

A prescription will be sent to the pharmacy of your choice at the end of your first appointment.

Step 4

Follow up as needed

Most patient will need to follow up once per month or less. You only need to follow up if you need a medication refill or need to consult your healthcare provider.

Jarryd McGuire

Jarryd is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. He has a passion for helping people struggling with alcohol use disorder. He understands that alcohol misuse is a medical problem that needs to be treated with medication. Alcohol misuse can not be treated by “interventions” or telling people to “just stop drinking.” He believes that telling someone who misuses alcohol to stop drinking is like telling someone with diabetes to “just stop being diabetic.” Jarryd enjoys treating individuals who misuse alcohol so they can return to their families, their jobs, and their lives.

Jarryd has a treatment approach that is collaborative, non judgemental, and specialized to the needs of each individual patient.
